Can't get SFTP to work

No matter what I try, I can't get a correct login on my SFTP account. I'm using user and pw as I should, and filezilla works fine with it. I also doublechecked the port.

Has someone an idea why it won't work or is it generally broken?

    Thanks for this quick answer.

    I actually read this somewhere in the forum and tried it, now doublechecked it but it didn't help.

    Also the error is just "The username or password is invalid".

    I also tried other login data and root login, all show this error.
