Transfer to Google Photos as "High Quality" rather than "Original"

I've seen other threads warning of this, but is there any method to transfer to Google Photos as a "High Quality" upload? This won't use any account space.  All are getting transferred as Original which will max out the account storage.

    Hello Mentalfloss,
    This is the limit of the API of Google. MultCloud adds google photos via API. Sorry that We can't solve it.
